Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Mixed diagnosis patient population
• Uses Epic EMR
• Equipment includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
• RN reads telemetry, no titration required
• Support staff includes a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
• Day shift schedule, 6:45am-7:15pm
• Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact)
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac management, and dialysis assessment

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education specific to care and discharge needs
• Mentors and precepts staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
