Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift Med-Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
  • Mixed diagnosis patient population
  • Patient ratio of 6:1
  • RN reads telemetry, no titration required
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Equipment includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
  • Night shift schedule of 645p-715a
  • Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Every other weekend required
  • Supported by a Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN), discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or compact)
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skills in trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment required

Additional Information

  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy and as warranted by patient condition
  • Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Mentor and precept staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
  • Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • Comply with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
