Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS certification and post-cath/pacemaker recovery experience.

Details

  • 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Full staffing model with charge RN, RN/LPN staff, and PCTs on each shift
  • Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
  • Uses Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn vitals machines
  • Documents in Meditech EMR
  • Floating required to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU
  • Weekend requirement of 3 shifts in a 4-week schedule, including Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days

Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
  • Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal), pacemaker placements, stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for Missouri placements

Additional Information

  • Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care in a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring strong teamwork
  • Grey scrubs required for RNs
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
