Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring at least 1 year of tele experience and ACLS/BLS/Basic Dysrhythmia certification.

Details

• 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit caring primarily for renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med surg patients
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A
• Minimum of 3 shifts per week with weekend rotation at least every 3rd weekend
• Floating required to like units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, and Rehab
• Uses EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand lift, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
• Documentation completed in Meditech EBCD

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care with a strong focus on patient experience initiatives including Nurse Leader Rounds and 2X2 communication standards
• Support hospital safety and quality goals including documentation compliance for central lines, foleys, and C. diff prevention
• Work alongside unencumbered charge nurses, a clinical educator, and a team-oriented staff
• Facility is recognized for robotic surgery programs and houses the only urology robot in the region
• Required uniform includes royal blue scrub tops, royal blue or black pants, and grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirt
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
