Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• At least 6 months of neuro experience required for this travel RN assignment
• Current RN license in hand; compact license required at submission if applicable
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience using Epic electronic health record (EHR) system required
• Ability to care for neuro, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity, team-based hospital environment
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside nursing care to telemetry and neuro patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Use NIH Stroke Scale proficiency to assess and support patients with neurological diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
• Administer medications and perform ongoing patient assessments in accordance with clinical standards
• Support pre- and post-procedure care for neuro and neurosurgical patients
• Document thoroughly in Epic and maintain accurate patient records
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating as required to support patient care
