Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Recent neuro experience may be required; strong familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale assessments preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Experience caring for patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to a flexible schedule
• Willingness to float as needed to support patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for patients with complex neurological and medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments and other focused neuro checks
• Support patients recovering from stroke, craniotomy, spinal cord injury, and other neuro-related conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols and provider orders
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic throughout the shift
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while contributing to a supportive unit culture
