Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience with neurological, post-surgical, and telemetry patients preferred
• Comfort working in a heavy neuro unit with willingness to learn neuro-specific workflows
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care and hospital nursing environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for telemetry and neuro telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Perform neurological assessments, including NIHSS screening as indicated
• Care for post-operative neurology patients, stroke patients, and other complex neuro diagnoses
• Support management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP, and related patient care needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered treatment plans
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic health records
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide flexible support through floating as required
