• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float between units to meet unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Comfort working in a heavy neuro environment and willingness to learn
• Experience with neurology, neurosurgical, or progressive telemetry patients preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:5
• Must be flexible to support unit needs and float as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for telemetry and neuro-tele patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Perform and document NIH assessments and ongoing neurological evaluations
• Support patients with dysrhythmia management, stroke care, and neurosurgical recovery
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
• Adapt to a busy, high-acuity unit while delivering compassionate bedside care
