Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of telemetry experience and Cerner charting proficiency.

Details

  • Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
  • Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required to other departments including Post-Surgical, Ortho/Trauma, Oncology, Medical/MedSurg, Cardiac, Stroke/Heart Failure, and ER boarding as needed
  • Uses Cerner-Powerchart for charting

Requirements

  • Active IN or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if active by start date)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and ortho trauma care needed

Additional Information

  • Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (without titration)
  • Care for patients with intracranial bleeds and traumatic brain injuries
  • Scrub color requirement: Royal/White
  • Block scheduling accommodations available
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Up to 10 days of RTO permitted, with holiday RTO requests requiring willingness to work one of the three major holidays
  • Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers will be considered
