Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a night shift assignment requiring telemetry, cardiac medication, and infusion experience.

Details

  • Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) with telemetry monitoring
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Possible floating within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

  • Active IN RN license or compact license required by start date
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required
  • Cardiac medication and infusion experience required
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and IV therapy
  • Skills such as arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and wound care are relevant to this unit
  • Holiday coverage required for one of three major holidays if requesting holiday time off
  • Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
  • Former facility employees must have a 3-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
