Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced M/S Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring tele strip interpretation skills and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit split into two 16-bed sections, admitting medical overflow patients
• Patient population includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surg patients, fractures, and general medical overflow
• Night shift schedule of 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 on nights
• Floating required to applicable units as requested
• Night positions do not rotate shifts
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required, AHA ACLS preferred
• Med/Surg RN skill set with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start via NURSYS and BON
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a mixed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg population including telemetry monitoring and neuro assessments
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• RTO must be identified prior to consideration
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the travel experience requirement
