Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and at least one year of recent experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with GI, GU/renal, and medication management (Heparin, Insulin, PCA)
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response protocols
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a med/surg population, including post-surgical, GI, GU, respiratory, and orthopedic cases
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates are not accepted; must live outside a 50-mile radius
• No prior travel experience required
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed shortly after signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared prior to start
