Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to float between departments and multiple nearby locations
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Cerner electronic health record experience preferred

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients using the nursing process
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and intervene appropriately
• Demonstrate critical thinking and sound clinical judgment to support safe patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures
• Prioritize and coordinate care for an assigned patient population
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide direction and supervision to assigned support personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and participation in quality and safety initiatives
