Travel Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Tucson, Arizona

Provide quality care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a dynamic float-pool environment across multiple area departments. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Registered Nurse Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 6:1
• Work Environment: On-site float-pool position with assignments across multiple departments and nearby facilities
• Documentation System: Cerner experience preferred

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong telemetry assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
• Willingness and ability to float between departments and assigned locations
• Cerner experience preferred

Med-Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Medical-Surgical and telemetry patients throughout the shift.
• Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and leadership in the delivery of patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to applicable nursing standards.
• Prioritize and delegate care based on patient needs and the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.
• Adapt effectively to changing assignments while floating between departments and locations as needed.
