• Floating: May float between units as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience in telemetry or neuro telemetry required
• Neurology or neurosurgical experience required
• Comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of post-surgical neuro patients
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:5
• Experience caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients preferred
• Must be flexible to float and work assigned holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled telemetry and neuro-focused nursing care to complex patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess neurological status, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Care for post-op neurology and neurosurgical patients, including stroke and seizure-related diagnoses
• Administer medications, manage dysrhythmias, and support respiratory and procedural interventions as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, timely, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards
• Support a designated stroke and neuroscience program serving a diverse patient population
• Float to meet unit needs while maintaining high-quality care and teamwork
