• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,900–$2,000
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float between units as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before start
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
• Telemetry nursing experience required; neuro experience preferred or willingness to learn a high-acuity neuro environment
• Comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and focused neuro assessments
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Epic required
• Ability to care for post-surgical neurology patients and other complex neuro diagnoses
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and work well in a team-based hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care for telemetry and neuroscience patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately
• Perform neuro-focused assessments and support patients using the NIH Stroke Scale
• Care for post-operative neurosurgical patients and patients with stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, and related diagnoses
• Administer and monitor treatments such as BiPAP/CPAP support, procedural sedation monitoring, and chest tube management as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Float between units when needed to support patient care and staffing needs
