• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 – $1,950
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float between nearby units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Neuro or neurology experience is required
• Telemetry RN experience strongly preferred
• Current RN licensure required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Comfort with NIH scale and care of post-surgical neurology patients
• Experience with patient ratios around 1:4 preferred
• Ability to work scheduled weekends and float to meet unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients on a neuroscience telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Care for post-operative neurology patients and patients with a range of neurological diagnoses
• Perform thorough neuro assessments and support stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to changing patient assignments and float as needed to support unit operations
