Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills while providing exceptional patient care in a telemetry unit.

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 36
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 PM or 1:4 AM, 1:5 PM (with patient care techs)
  • Staffing Description: Predominantly RN-based care without techs, secretaries available from 7 AM to 7 PM.
  • Equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Floating Policy: PRN floats once per week, with FT/PT staff floating in rotation based on availability.
  • Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds.

Position Requirements

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Proficiency in the management of vasoactive drips.
  • Ability to perform typical procedures, including Central Line or PICC line placement.

Dress Code

  • Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms.
  • Black or charcoal grey jackets, with an option to order unit-specific jackets.

Additional Information

This unit is a designated education unit and features new cardiac monitors that provide visual access to cardiac rhythms from each patient room.
