Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring cardiac rhythm interpretation skills and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the 3 South Telemetry unit of a hospital with 34 private rooms
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Uses GE Telemetry monitors, Pyxis medication system, and Welch Allyn vital sign monitors
• Meditech EMR system used
• Every other weekend scheduling required
• No call requirements
• May float to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding units

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
• Respiratory experience including advanced airways and oxygen management required
• Experience with non-titrated cardiac drips required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for patients undergoing stress tests, heart catheterization, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube procedures
• Navy scrub color required
• Team-oriented personality preferred
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
