Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract duration.

• 36-bed telemetry unit specializing in medical cardiac care and post-cardiac intervention recovery
• Patient population includes young adults through geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• All private patient rooms with full telemetry monitoring capabilities
• 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided
• Experience caring for post-cardiac surgery, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implant, and stable cardiac patients

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-cardiac procedure care, vasoactive drip management, and IV insulin protocols
• Skills in accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, sheath removal, pre/post hemodialysis management, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
