Description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro/Med Tele RN for a night shift assignment on a busy 36-bed neuroscience unit requiring NIH Stroke Certification and ACLS.

Details

  • Neurosciences unit (A6W) within a hospital setting
  • 36-bed unit staffed with charge RNs, RNs, CNAs, and a HUC
  • Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 on day shift and up to 7:1 on night shift
  • Standard med-surg equipment used on the unit
  • Cerner EMR in use
  • Night shift schedule, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating to other med-surg floors may be required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
  • Current ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Neuro experience preferred
  • Experience with Foley insertion and IV starts
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO placements)
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to neuroscience and telemetry patients including Foley insertion and IV starts
  • New staff reference book provided at start of contract
  • Navy blue scrub attire required
  • Best suited for outgoing, self-motivated candidates
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
