Job Requirements

• Current RN license and eligibility to work as a Registered Nurse in Texas or compact state licensure as applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Wound care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to schedule changes and support floating when needed
• Travel nurses must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Maintain efficient workflow while managing a 6:1 patient ratio
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating as assigned
