Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure and telemetry/IMC experience.

Details

• IMC MedSurgical unit within a hospital setting
• Provides care for patients requiring telemetry and intermediate care monitoring
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full time, 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and MedSurg-specific competency validations
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
