Key Responsibilities of the Histotechnologist - Histology Technician- Receive and accession specimens into Cerner
- Collect blocks from PA staff
- Process tissue, embedding, and cutting
- Stain slides in preparation for analysis
Requirements of the Histotechnologist - Histology Technician- Minimum of 2 years of experience within specialty
- ASCP (HT/HLT) certification
- Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
