This role focuses on histology within a pathology laboratory setting, providing crucial support to various functions such as pathology, cytology, and IHC. Key Responsibilities of the Histology Technician

• Receive specimens from surgery and accession specimens into Cerner
• Collect blocks from PA staff
• Process tissue samples
• Embed, cut, and stain slides

Requirements of the Histology Technician

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty
• Required ASCP (HT/HLT) certification
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
