This travel role is located in Boston, offering the opportunity to work in vibrant city life. Candidates will report to the Supervisor of the Animal Facilities, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities of the Animal Technician- Process all animal cage components and related equipment through mechanical washers.
- Ensure sanitation verification using temperature indicators and report failures.
- Process waste bedding utilizing appropriate disposal units while wearing PPE.
- Operate mechanical cage wash units as per procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Stage cage components with appropriate bedding and enrichment material.
- Operate steam autoclaves for equipment sterilization, logging all results.
Requirements of the Animal Technician- High School diploma or GED required.
- 0-1 years related work experience required; janitorial experience considered.
- Must be able to lift weights of 50lbs and work under conditions of odors, heat, humidity.
- Basic computer familiarity and ability to navigate web-based applications.
- Local candidates only, no weekend requirements.
