Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Three 12-Hour Shifts) | 36 Guaranteed Hours | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures including open heart surgery and heart failure cases
- Support surgical teams during complex cardiothoracic procedures, with a focus on patient safety and sterile technique
- Participate in on-call rotations as required by the unit
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements as part of the standard schedule
- Maintain CST certification and comply with all facility and regulatory standards throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in open heart surgery and heart failure cases
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
- Willingness and availability to take call and work weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with lung and heart transplant procedures strongly preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
