Job Summary
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in the region. This role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, including vascular surgeries, GYN oncology surgeries, and necrotizing fasciitis treatment. The position requires working night shifts and entails adhering to clinical protocols within the healthcare facility.
Job Details
- Position Description: Surgical ICU Nurse responsible for delivering intensive care to critically ill patients with diverse diagnoses such as vascular surgeries, complex abdominal surgeries, and necrotizing fasciitis. The role involves managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and providing advanced life support.
- Certifications: AHA or ARC accredited ACLS and BLS required. Must have at least 2 years of clinical ICU experience, including patient care in surgical ICU settings.
- Experience & Education: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in ICU, with experience in arterial line management, chest tube procedures, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and vent management.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, managing patients with multisystem organ failure, and familiarity with special procedures like CRRT is preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable caring for COVID-19 patients. May be required to float to all ICU floors. Ability to work two of the three major upcoming holidays is expected.
