Job Summary:
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) position in a busy Level 1 Trauma hospital. This role involves providing care for patients undergoing complex surgeries such as liver and kidney transplants, vascular surgeries, ENT cancer procedures, abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, and other critical conditions. RNs will be working 12-hour days on a rotating schedule, with a focus on early recognition of patient change, critical thinking, and effective communication in a high-acuity environment.

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, days shift. Shift schedule may be subject to unit needs and includes every other weekend.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 3 years of recent experience, previous travel experience preferred, and a background working in busy hospital settings. Flexibility is required for floating to other ICUs within the hospital, and prior experience with EPIC charting system is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of handling critical patient changes, and adhere to dress code and professional standards.
