    Travel First Assist – Operating Room

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM | 8-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide first assist support to surgeons across a broad range of surgical specialties including Ortho Trauma, Orthopedics, Spine, Neuro, GYN, Urology, General, Robotics, Vascular, Peds, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, OMF, Dental, and Eye Trauma
    • Assist with robotic-assisted surgical procedures utilizing da Vinci, Mako, and Velys robotic systems
    • Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 29-bed operating room environment
    • Accurately document patient care and surgical activities using Cerner electronic documentation system
    • Adhere to flexible scheduling requirements including on-call availability as needed
    • Follow all unit-specific guidelines, policies, dress code requirements, and patient experience standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
    • Active certification as CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA required
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to assist surgeons in Ortho Trauma, Orthopedics, Spine, Neuro, GYN, General, Robotics, and Vascular surgery
    • Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
    • Ability to meet on-call and flexible scheduling requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience assisting with robotic-assisted surgery, including da Vinci, Mako, or Velys platforms
    • Broad multi-specialty OR experience including Peds, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, OMF, Dental, and Eye Trauma procedures
    • Prior travel assignment experience in a high-volume operating room setting
