AHS Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Unit

OBS 6N & 6C — 31 beds total, consisting of two separate units on the same floor.

  • Stepdown ratio: 1:3
  • Floor ratio: 1:5–6
  • Support: 3–4 nurse aides for 31 patients
  • Charge RN each shift + house supervisor in-house 24/7
  • RT available 24/7
  • No ventilators on the unit
  • Telemetry with monitor techs; RNs must read and interpret strips
  • Stepdown RNs must be comfortable titrating drips
  • Heparin drips are used on the floor

Common patients: Med/Surg, cardiac, insulin-dependent diabetes, COPD, trauma, ortho, ENT, urology and pain-management patients.

Required: BLS + ACLS.

Schedule: Every other weekend. Travelers may be required to work holidays. Posting mentions call, although the unit notes list the actual call/standby requirement as unknown.

Important WVU submission rules

Candidate's driver's-license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility.

The gross weekly is correct @$3100. The breakdown is not correct as Vivian would not account for the OT Hours- So I had to increase the taxable wage on this posting to get it to reflect the accurate gross weekly.
