Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: Night shift (36 hours per week / 12-hour shifts). Scheduling currently handled via paper spreadsheet (self-scheduling/block scheduling not guaranteed). Target start date: September 11, 2026.
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend required; holiday schedule equates to about every other holiday. No call or standby requirement.
Key Facility Policies & Unit Scope
- Unit Overview: 18-bed IMU (Intermediate/Stepdown) unit. Patient ratio is 1:3. Supported by 1 PCT per shift, non-staffing charge nurses, and house supervisors.
- Telemetry & Drips: Telemetry on all patients; RNs are required to read/interpret strips. RNs must titrate drips (common titratable drips include Nitroglycerin up to 150 mcg/kg/min, Neo up to 100 mcg/min, and Cardene up to 10 mg/hr). Management of BiPAP and CPAP included.
- Floating & Dress Code: Floating required PRN. Royal blue scrubs required (undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Typical stepdown patient care experience required.
- Licensure: Active West Virginia (WV) RN license or multi-state compact RN license in hand.
- Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required at submittal.
