Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit care at a facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves delivering high-acuity cardiac patient care within a dedicated unit that emphasizes telemetry, cardiac drips, and interactive procedures. The role requires strong cardiac background, EPIC electronic health record experience, and the ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 1 year of recent cardiac unit experience, experience with cardiac drips including Insulin, Milrinone, Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Nitroglycerin, extensive telemetry interpretation skills, and the ability to successfully pass a telemetry exam on the first attempt. Candidates must be able to interpret cardiac rhythms without assistance.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Heart transplant experience, LVAD experience, and chest tube management experience.
  • Additional Information: This position involves caring for patients with conditions such as Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, VTach, VFib, and post-procedural care including catheterizations, pacemakers, and ablations. Float opportunities to similar cardiac/PCU units are not expected for travelers. Scrubs required are navy blue, and the assignment is for 13 weeks with an available start date of 10/19/2026, with weekly shifts every Monday.
