Registered Nurse - Step Down (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Step Down Unit. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Unit Information

Unit size: 6-20 beds
Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1 to 4
Common conditions treated:
- Sepsis
- Heart Failure
- Hypertensive Emergency
- Respiratory Failure
- COPD
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (TDM2)
- Substance Abuse
- Status Epilepticus
- Encephalopathy
Potential to float to all Intermediate Care Units (most common: 5J and 12A)

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant setting
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
