Day shift, 12 hours, 4 days a week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a medical step down unit, handling a variety of patient conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. The RN may also float to other Intermediate Care Units (IMCU), with 5J and 12A being the most common.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs and trends.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a similar setting.
  • Current RN license.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
