Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting
- Conduct clinical swallowing evaluations and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Perform and interpret instrumental swallowing assessments as indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital experience
- Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
