Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care setting requiring CCC certification and OK state licensure, with new grads welcome if Level II experience is met.

Details

  • Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active Oklahoma state SLP license required if applicable
  • CCC-SLP certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
  • LTC or Rehab setting experience required
  • New graduates accepted if they completed Level II clinical experience (not Level I observation only)
  • One reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
  • Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals accordingly
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary health team members
  • Document treatment progress, minutes, and discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
  • Attend required facility and company trainings and in-services
  • Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
  • May supervise or support CFY or student SLPs
  • Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off during the assignment
