Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care assignment in Norman, OK, requiring 1 year of SLP experience and LTC or Rehab background.

- Long Term Care facility setting focused on rehabilitation and therapeutic services
- Speech Language Pathology unit serving patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
- No weekend requirements

Requirements
- Current CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Active Oklahoma state SLP license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation alone not sufficient)
- 3 years of experience with active CCC preferred
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Compact license not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice interventions
- Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge summaries in the electronic documentation system
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary health team members
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
- Attend facility and company training sessions and in-services
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student SLPs as needed
- Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be accommodated
