Coordinate special education services. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure compliance with federal and state laws for educating students with disabilities. Provide classroom accommodations for students. Document student progress accurately. Serve on IEP and IAT teams. Maintain accurate student records. Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs for students with disabilities. Work with regular education teachers, parents, and community agencies to support students in an inclusive setting. Assist in the overall coordination of special education programs and ensure services are delivered effectively. Ensure adherence to federal and state laws for educating students with disabilities and prepare required reports. Administer and document data for individual student IEPs. Provide consultation to general education teachers on modifications and adaptations for special education students. Possess a strong understanding of federal laws regarding the education of students with disabilities. Have excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals. Demonstrate proficiency in data collection and documentation for IEPs. Exhibit the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs in inclusionary settings.
