Job Title: Intervention Specialist Profession: Education Specialty: Special Education Duration: Full-Time Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7 Experience: Relevant experience in special education License: Valid teaching license in special education Certifications: Certified in special education preferred Must-Have: Strong understanding of federal laws regarding the education of students with disabilities Description: Support students with disabilities by assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Coordinate special education services and collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure compliance with relevant laws. Provide classroom accommodations and document student progress. Serve on IEP and IAT teams and maintain accurate student records. Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs for students with disabilities. Work with regular education teachers, parents, and community agencies to support students in an inclusive setting. Assist in the overall coordination of special education programs to ensure effective service delivery. Ensure adherence to laws regarding the education of students with disabilities and prepare required reports. Administer and document data for individual student IEPs and maintain accurate student records. Provide consultation to general education teachers on modifications and adaptations for special education students. Demonstrate excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals. Show proficiency in data collection and documentation for IEPs. Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs in inclusive settings.
