Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current telemetry hospital experience
• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
• Positive, engaged attitude and strong communication skills
• Preferred: prior experience in large teaching facilities
• Preferred: prior Meditech experience

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor and assess patients receiving medication drips and central line care
• Assist with heart cath recovery and bubble studies as needed
• Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:6, including higher-acuity heart cath patients as assigned
• Collaborate with RNs, patient care technicians, and unit clerks to support smooth unit operations
• Use clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR system
