Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of current telemetry hospital experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills
• Positive, engaged team attitude
• Prior experience with Meditech preferred
• Experience in a large trauma facility is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, including IV therapy and medication drips, per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe patient care
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, and other complex needs as assigned
• Support recovery for heart cath patients and assist with bubble studies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Contribute to a patient-focused, team-oriented telemetry unit culture
