Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit night shift position requiring prior travel and Level 1/AMC experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:00, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• 13-week assignment
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred; some facilities require AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level 1/AMC (Academic Medical Center) experience required
• Primary source verification of license required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for licensure
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing care principles across patient age groups
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care for medical/surgical patients
• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions, vital signs, and care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and adjust patient treatment plans as needed
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston may be considered at a reduced rate
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
