Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Oncology position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and current Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Oncology unit with 12-hour rotating day/night shift options
• Patients require continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Care for soft tissue malignancy patients receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
• Manage patients with comorbidities and disease-related symptom progression
• Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses B450 GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required, current within the last 12 months and specific to the specialty
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience accessing and managing central lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Arterial line management experience required
• Blood product administration experience required
• IV start and maintenance skills required
• Experience assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management experience required
• ABG interpretation skills required
• Oncology and chemotherapy administration experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• BiPAP/CPAP management experience preferred
• Tracheostomy care and management experience preferred
• PCA and insulin drip titration experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
