Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients in accordance with approved medical staff protocols and department policies
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and maintain patient airways
- Manage mechanical ventilators and perform intubations
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis
- Provide respiratory care coverage across ICU, general floors, and the Emergency Department
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Experience in ICU, general floor, and Emergency Department settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Some exposure to NICU and Pediatrics sufficient to support Emergency Department coverage
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential in addition to CRT
