Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations in accordance with approved protocols and department policies
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and maintain patient airways
- Manage mechanical ventilators and perform intubations as required
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis
- Provide coverage across ICU, general floors, Emergency Department, and as needed in NICU and Pediatrics
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in ICU, general floor, and Emergency Department settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Some exposure to NICU and Pediatrics sufficient to support ED coverage needs
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute care hospital setting
