    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist (Adults)

    Location

    Reno, NV | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | 3x12-hour shifts, rotating days of the week, varied shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders to improve cardiopulmonary conditions of patients across the lifespan, from newborn to geriatric
    • Conduct thorough patient assessments and initiate, modify, refine, transition, discontinue, or restart therapy under established protocols in critical care, adult general care, and pediatric general care settings
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient records and department logs
    • Deliver a positive patient experience through structured communication and service recovery practices as needed
    • Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level based on departmental needs; schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
    • Stay current with technological advances and clinical applications relevant to respiratory care
    Required Qualifications
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; license must be in hand prior to submission
    • Active Nevada State Respiratory Therapy License required prior to start
    • Nevada Point of Care license (Director of Point of Care, General Supervisor of Point of Care, or Point of Care Analyst) required prior to start
    • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start
    • Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience, with recent critical care experience required
    • Prior travel experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced Level II Trauma Center or equivalent acuity environment
    • Familiarity with neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care protocols across multiple care settings
    • Comfort working in environments requiring continuous comprehensive clinical judgment and independent decision-making
