    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry, Nights

    Location

    Reno, NV | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | 3x12-Hour Night Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a 38-bed telemetry unit, utilizing the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
    • Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure care (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU)
    • Administer and manage non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitroglycerin)
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including CNAs, Critical Care Techs, Advanced Care Techs, Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists
    • Float as needed to ICUs (for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments), medical-surgical units, and other campus locations up to competency level
    • Pass a telemetry competency exam including identification and measurement of rhythm strips prior to or upon start
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA) required
    • NIHSS certification (APEX) required
    • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
    • Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for post-procedure cardiac patients including pacemaker, ablation, and cath lab patients
    • Familiarity with cardiac drip management in a high-acuity telemetry environment
    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume acute care setting
