Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to adult patients in an inpatient setting
- Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilators
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license or certification valid in Nebraska
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilators and adult patient populations
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate for this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute care or inpatient hospital environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in high-acuity situations
