    Respiratory Therapist

    Location

    Fargo, ND | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Rotating shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts with some 8-hour shifts; every other weekend and holidays required. Weekend and straight night status may be considered.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, including arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
    • Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy; assist with intubations, bedside trach placements, tracheostomy changes, decannulation, and extubations
    • Deliver medications, perform airway clearance, and assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures
    • Participate in emergency response teams, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport
    • Utilize a variety of equipment including Epic EMR, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, Nitric Oxide, 3100B HFOV, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, and patient home ventilators, among others
    • May float to other campus locations within the Fargo area as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
    • Level 1 trauma and ICU experience required
    • Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds
    • North Dakota state license (NDSBRC) required; candidates willing to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance will be considered — licensure processing may take 3 to 6 weeks
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to adjusted pay rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CRT or RRT (NBRC certification) preferred; CRT will be considered
    • Emergency department (ER) experience preferred
    • ACLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) preferred
    • Experience in Adult/NICU or Adult/PICU rotation settings is a plus
